HSE Recruitment are currently working with a leading public services company on the recruitment of a HSE manager for a 12 month fixed term contract. This role is based in Middleborough.
As a HSE Manager you will work closely with the Health and Safety team providing guidance and supporting improvements HS&E compliance across a complex multi service line site. You will be supporting the implementation of a training schedule and HS&E Management plan, as well as the delivery of the HS&E Strategy, and a reporting process that allows predictive assessment of potential HSE failures.
The ideal candidate will have experience in Health & Safety in large scale environments, ideally within a Healthcare setting but other large scale environments such as Facilities management, building services or similar would also be considered. You will have NEBOSH Certificate as a minimum but will ideally be working towards your Diploma (or equivalent) although again this is not essential for a candidate with extensive and demonstrable industry experience in the appropriate industries. You will also ideally have a good understanding of management systems (i.e. OHSAS 18001/ISO 14001) along with excellent IT skills.
This role will be based from site in Middlesbrough but there may be some flexibility for home working one day per week.
