Health & Safety Manager – Essex
£55,000 + Benefits
A rare and unique opportunity has arisen for an experienced Health & Safety Manager to join a registered charity who also hold a statutory duty on behalf of the British Government.
The role of Health & Safety Manager is based from the Essex head office, but will require national travel to sites, offices and installations across the country. You will manager 2 experienced Health & Safety Assistants and play a key part in advising Directors, Managers and other staff to ensure best practice is followed at all times. You will be responsible for the upkeep, amendment and deployment of the company’s Health & Safety policy including ISO 45001. You will be overseeing monitoring and reporting, carrying out audits and inspections on a regular basis, ensuring that Health & Safety culture is seen as vital throughout all facts of the business. Reporting directly to the Chief Executive, this is an important leadership role with the company.
To be considered for the role of Health & Safety Manager, you will need to have the following experience:
• Minimum of Diploma level Health & Safety qualifications
• GradIOSH (or higher)
• Experience in a Health & Safety Manager role, with experience of managing direct reports
• Management system experience (ISO 14001, 450001)
• Willingness to travel nationally including staying away from time to time
