HSE Recruitment are currently working with one of the UK’s leading utility providers employing over 4,000 staff across the country, and delivering energy to over 10 million homes and business, on the recruitment of a HSES Manager to work within their logistics arm.
As a Health, Safety, Environment Manager you will be responsible for looking after 19 depots and a national distribution centre in an autonomous role. Safety culture is good on site, but after a merger the company have been left with huge amount of documentation that requires simplification. They also require a professional that can inspire excitement and engagement with Health and Safety, someone bright, curious and forward thinking.
The role will look after internal accident investigations, monitoring and tracking monthly audits, ensuring environmental and waste management licences are in place and all standards (Safety, Health, Environment and Security) are met for depot checks and ISO14001 accreditations, amongst other responsibilities.
Ideally you will be a NEBOSH Diploma (or equivalent) qualified candidate (although we will look at those with NEBOSH Certificate or equivalent and the right experience and attitude). You will have experience of working within a logistics, warehouse, plant hire or similar environment, although we also look at transferrable skill sets from industries such as manufacturing. You will be confident and engaging, and interested in inspiring people at all levels. Experience of environment, health and security initiatives would be a bonus but not essential , as development and training can be provided by our client.
In return you will receive a salary of £37-40k per annum, plus mileage expenses. Although the role covers multiple depots the role can be based from the main distribution centre in Birmingham with significant home working. For more information please contact email@example.com
