HSE Recruitment are currently exclusively working alongside a trusted, sustainable and impressive manufacturing company who are leaders in their field, to recruit an Interim Health, Safety and Environment Manager. This role is offered as a day rate contract, looking for an immediate start and covering the site until a permanent replacement is found. This role sits inside of IR35 and you will need to work through an Umbrella company. The role is based from a single site in Wakefield.

As a Health and Safety Manager you will be responsible for providing support for managers to deliver H&S best practice across the site, driving and support a positive Health and safety culture and behaviours, monitor and report on health and safety risks and hazards in the workplace and management of emergency procedures and coordinate and/or carry out accident and incident and near-miss investigations as required. You will also be responsible for all safety inspections in the workplace (amongst other duties).

You will need to be NEBOSH Diploma qualified (or equivalent) and ideally will also hold a NEBOSH Environmental Certificate or IEMA membership. Essential is experience of working in a similar role within an FMCG environment such as food, beverage, paper or packaging.
