Are you an experienced HSEQ Manager looking for a change, that will allow you to showcase your skills?My client is a leading enabling works contractor, involved in Europe's largest infrastructure project, as well as numerous construction projects UK wide. They have a wide-ranging client base, in Rail & Construction and Power, Transmission and Distribution. They are exceptionally strong in the utility sector, where customers require access all year round to power grids, railway lines, and energy installations. They pride themselves on innovation, Health & Safety standards, strong environmental credentials and providing customers with high value. This is an operationally focussed site based role with national travel, and comes with the opportunity to influence safety culture company-wide.

The Role

• Maintain and report accurately and in a timely manner on HSEQ KPI's

• Support and assist operational management teams to fulfil their Health, Safety and Environmental legislative requirements

• Continuous development of HSEQ management systems including policy documents, operating procedures, risk assessments, method statements and accident reporting systems

• Preparation of job-specific method statements and risk assessments for specialist decommissioning or non-standard projects

• Identification and arranging training and competence requirements and induction for all staff

• Attend HSEQ management and committee meetings as required

• Attend client, contractor, regulatory meetings and other events as required

• Undertake internal site audits and report findings with suggested improvements where appropriate

• Investigate safety, environmental and quality-related incidents with operational management to establish root causes and preventative measures

• Maintenance and development of ISO accredited HSEQ management systems

• Assisting management in the preparation of tenders and the completion of vendor questionnaires

The Person

• Experience of ISO standard and managing information management systems.

• Relevant Health & Safety qualification(s)

• Experience of quality assurance standards and their maintenance

• Knowledge of environmental legislation

• PC literate with good skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint

• Strong interpersonal skills

• Excellent attention to detail

• Have an understanding or experience of working on multi-sites & remote workers

• Have good communication and presentation skills

• Able to coach and train others

• Self-motivated and creative

• Able to work under pressure and to deadlines
