A fantastic opportunity has arisen within a leading construction materials business to Head up their Northern Business as the Divisional HSE Manger. You will be responsible for the Northern Region, covering predominantly the Central Belt of Scotland. Health and Safety is at the forefront of this organisations mind, especially as they are growing at a phenomenal rate. You will have the autonomy to improve as you see fit, be trusted to really move the business forward and ensure that everyone is on this journey through the expansion and beyond.

Not only is this a really exciting time to join for your own career prospects, it is a challenging position in an in demand, high risk market which is in need of a resilient and passionate Health and Safety leader who can improve standards not only within the business but the industry. You will have the support of a corporate function who see the value in allowing its divisions the autonomy to manage their Region in a way that is appropriate to them.
You will be responsible for leading high standard across the central belt of Scotland, working alongside your two advisors to really embed and enhance the culture. You will inspect and audit your sites across the region, improve standards and accountability. You will collaborate with stakeholders across the group to develop effective HSE strategies and achieve compliance with HSE standards. How you embed the strategy is up to you, you will be trusted as a senior manager to understand what to do and how to do it for the best of the business.
Experience and Background:
• Diploma level qualified in Health and Safety.
• CMIOSH or working towards.
• Experience working in construction, construction materials or heavy manufacturing is essential.
• Multi site experience.
• Motivational and engaging.
• Flexible as they this is an ever changing environment.
• Pragmatic and active approach to improving the business and industry.
This is a Regional role offering circa £50-60K with a car or car allowance. You will be required to come to the Dundee head office 2-3 days per week and travel throughout the region, managing your own diary.
