This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Health, Safety and Environment Manager to join a well-respected FMCG manufacturing business at their site in the Greater Manchester area, which has around 250 staff. You will manage two direct reports and alongside them you will take them to the next level in their health and safety journey. The business is investing heavily in new technology and equipment to further advance their presence in the market and keep up with the demand of customers.
Reporting into the GM you will working closely with all departments and the senior management team to further improve safety on site. The risk profile is everything from machinery, work place transport, slips trips and falls amongst other things. With the continued investment on site you will manage the integration of new machinery and techniques, manage the relationship between the key stakeholders and the health and safety team. They are currently developing a behavioural safety system but while this is being finalised you will be expected to start that journey and have some quick wins to address behaviours. There is an open culture here where people talk about safety but it is your role to strengthen this further and ensure this sites very positive reputation within the organisation is upheld.
What is needed from you:
• NEBOSH Diploma level (or equivalent) ideally but someone going through their Diploma would be considered.
• FMCG Manufacturing experience would be ideal but wider general manufacturing would also be considered.

• Strong communication skills and the ability to build relationships
• Self-motivated and can work autonomously
• Strong organisations skills
