HSE Recruitment are exclusively working with a world class manufacturing company on the recruitment of an Interim Health and Safety Manager for their site in Shropshire. This role requires an immediate start with interviews on Wednesday the 13th June, and will run for approximately 3 months.
As a Health and Safety Manager you will be responsible for a large and very busy 24/7 site, focused on a variety of high hazard risks including rolling mill, busy production sites and casting facilities. As a result you must be very comfortable with high hazard engineering and manufacturing processes and have spent an extensive amount of time within the manufacturing industry. This role is covering during a period of change, and requires a steady pair of hands - able to lead the team in the day to day safety duties such as risk assessments, policy and procedure updates, method statements, accident investigation and continuous improvement. It is important that you are a hands on individual, capable of talking to people on the shop floor in an engaging manner that they can relate to and understand, but that you also have the ability to be strong when necessary and stand your ground.
You will have NEBOSH certificate or equivalent as a minimum although Diploma or equivalent would be advantageous. You will also have experience of managing a small team of advisors, and working closely with an environmental team to keep the site at world class standards. You will be able to focus on turning things around quickly and able to prioritise activities to ensure best practice.
This role is offered on a day rate basis of £180-200 per day and requires someone 5 days a week - with an ideal start date of 18th June. If you are interested please contact firstname.lastname@example.org
