You have the chance to join a global manufacturing business as a Safety, Health and Environmental Coordinator at their site in Leek, Staffordshire. This is a company we have had great success in recruiting for in the past and they have a reputation of being a supportive and positive employer.
The site is going through a big expansion project at the moment so it’s a really exciting time to join. We are recruiting for two SHE Coordinators to join the team working under an experienced SHE Manager. You will have the opportunity to be coached and mentored by someone who knows the business and site inside and out, someone who will help progress and further your career.
In this role you will coordinate the efficient operation of the SHE management systems. This will involve coordinating aspects of planning, doing, checking and acting system stages for a range of risk control programmes and SHE initiatives.
As there are two vacancies we have desired profiles we will consider:
• Currently a SHE Advisor/Coordinator/Officer within a manufacturing business with your NEBOSH Certificate or IOSH Managing Safely.
• We will also consider someone with a chemical engineering or other technical engineering degree who is ready to step into a safety role and utilities their knowledge in a new field. If you hold a qualification in H&S or some prior knowledge that would be advantageous.
• As you will be in contact with people from all areas of the business, the ability to influence with good written and verbal communication skills is essential.
• You will have strong planning and organisation skills to ensure you can operate effectively with multiple tasks, being flexible to meet challenging requirements.
