A very exciting opportunity has arose at a leading UK Manufacturer for a Safety, Health and Environment Advisor. They are seeking an ambitious and talented HSE professional to join their site in West Bromwich. They want someone with a proactive attitude, someone who sees safety different and wants to develop their skill set.

My client is a well-established and respected business in the UK Chemical market who offer very niche products. They are a lower tier COMAH Site. They are leading the way not only in the UK in their field but when it comes to safety they are leading the way in operational excellence. Not only will they further develop you in health and safety they will develop your career, thinking about your personal goals and pipelining you ready to take that next step in your career. They are in a very stable position financially and going from strength to strength.

As the health, safety and environment advisor you will work as part of a very specialist team of 5, assisting in the development of all EHS policies on site as well as the implementation of new and innovative programmes and systems. You will deputise and support the HSE Manager in the day to day running of health and safety ensuring there is a daily presence on site and have a lot of autonomy to make decisions. You will focus on upholding company standards and improving key KPI’s across the site through liaising closely with other departments. In the absence of team members you will lead the way if promoting all company wide policies. You will be responsible for creating and training

Required Qualifications:

• Experience in a similar level role; HSE Advisor, coordinator or officer
• NEBOSH Certificate as a minimum
• Experience in a high risk manufacturing environment
• Incident investigation and root cause analysis
• Knowledge and implementation of safety management systems and creating risk assessment
• Experience delivering training programme
• Willingness to learn COMAH and process safety although COMAH experience isn’t required
