About Us - Our Team

Katie Pickrell

After graduating in 1998 with a BSc in Social Policy and Business Studies, Katie became a graduate trainee with a Global IT Recruiter. She joined us in 2001 as a Senior Consultant after completing her CIEH advanced certificate. Katie is responsible for our public sector division and holds full Membership of the Recruitment Employment Confederation.



 

Nick Jones

Nick was working for a sister company focused on Sales Recruitment, when he was offered the opportunity of developing the HSE Recruitment Network. Before that, he was at a listed national support services group. Focusing on a number of sectors including manufacturing, retail, risk and engineering, he is MREC accredited and has developed an expert understanding of the Health and Safety marketplace.

Outside work Nick is a season ticket holder at the “mighty” Aston Villa and plays football for two local teams — knees permitting — and is a keen, but often frustrated, golfer.

 

Nicola Wolverson

Nicola spent 10 years working as an Account Manager in the Manufacturing industry before moving into recruitment with a global IT Recruitment company in the mid 1990's. Nicola joined us in early 2003 and is MREC qualified, she has played a key role in establishing and developing a significant number of accounts in the Construction industry across Northern England, Scotland and Ireland. Nicola is also responsible for the Utilities sector for the whole of the UK and overseas.

Nicola relocated to Mexico earlier in her career and has danced competitively on the international salsa circuit.

Chris Rowlands

Chris graduated with a degree in Economics from one of the UK's top business schools and spent the following 2 years working across the UK and Europe for a large utilities company, specialising in commodity trading and business development. Chris then entered the recruitment market with an executive search company who specialised in the legal and accountancy professions before finding his home in the Health & Safety market. Chris has amassed 3 years recruitment experience in total, holds Membership status with the Recruitment and Employment Confederation, and specialises in the recruitment of permanent positions within the Construction and Rail industries.

 

Rachel Stokes

Upon completing her BA in Business Administration & Marketing, Rachel spent a year in Australia where she began her career in Recruitment, working for an IT Recruiter in Sydney. Rachel now has over five years experience in recruitment, and after working with our sister company for three years, joins the HSE Recruitment Network to head up the Contracts Division. Rachel holds Membership status with the Recruitment and Employment Confederation, and has previous success in the contract market.


 

Jenny Legay-McKinley

Jenny joined The HSE Recruitment Network in the summer of 2006 and is now a committed and valued member to the team. She now manages all administration and workings with HSE and is the vital cog in the expansion plans of HSE in the future. Previously to HSE she spent two years with a National recruitment company in a administration role her initial training and introduction to the management of administration was within the Public Sector. Her commercial ability comes from a successful sales background within the oil industry.

Away from work Jenny is actively involved in the greyhound industry and is often at various UK venues cheering on some of her jointly owned greyhounds. She also provides and luxury lifestyle and cares for a number of retired greyhounds. In addition she intends to pass her driving test soon and have this sentence removed from the web site!!

Siobhan Oerlemans

Siobhan joined the HSE Recruitment Network in early 2006 after completing a Law degree at the University of Birmingham. She now has over a year’s recruitment experience in the health and safety industry and works in the contract division specialising in the public sector, successfully recruiting for central and local government, NHS organizations and educational establishments. Prior to moving to the UK Siobhan lived in the Netherlands and Indonesia, and when she gets the chance, loves to visit European and international destinations. Siobhan is also a black belt so watch out!!


Zoe Adkins

Zoe has worked within commercial recruitment and before that marketing for 3 years both within the UK and New Zealand. She joined The HSE Recruitment Network at the beginning of 2008 as part of our permanent division. In her spare time Zoe enjoys exploring the world of adventure sports and is a keen surfer.
